For me, practicing law is not about profits as much as it is to serve the community. Due to such, I have opened a new firm, Law Office of Darshan Patel, APC. Having owned independent and franchised properties, the attorneys in my firm understand the issues our clients face and the laws that impact them. This understanding allows for a more proactive approach to obtaining favorable resolutions.
Prior to joining the team, Victoria served as the controller for a mid-sized development and hospitality group where she maintained the company’s general ledger, prepared financial statements, loan packages and banking compliance. In addition, she was responsible for supervising payroll, accounts receivable and accounts payable. Prior to her controllership position, Victoria spent seven years providing full cycle accounting and financial services to law firm practices.

A recent graduate from the University of California San Diego, Vinh is aspiring to become an attorney. He is currently studying for the LSATs with the intent of attending law school next fall. His experience includes representing a plethora of clients in the Hospitality Industry. Matthew's experience also includes Real Estate Transactions, being well-versed in purchase and sale agreements, lease agreements, and franchise agreements.
A graduate of the University of San Diego School of Law, R. Alan Smith has been a practicing attorney for more than four decades. He has a broad range of experience in litigation and in transactions. Since coming to Law Offices of Darshan Patel, APC, Alan has developed expertise in litigation and transactions in the hospitality industry.

Ms. Negrete is an HR consultant and legal advisor, she works with HR Professionals at businesses of all sizes. Her aim is to reduce risk and ensure that her clients’ workplaces are legally compliant. She provides effective solutions to problems such as preventing workplace harassment, workplace violence, dealing with wage and hour issues, social media policies, Facebook Firing, FMLA and ADA issues.
Jay Bernstein began his career in Collections in 1970. Within 5 years of working in the business, he opened his own collection agency in 1975. Beyond that, he has accumulated more than 27 years of experience in debt buying, becoming extremely knowledgeable in all phases of the negotiation process for legal settlements. Lastly, he is incredibly well-versed in offer and compromise with the IRS.
